Certification Details
- Assessment skills: Has competent knowledge of all the normal stages of growth and development from Pediatric to Geriatric and delivers patient care appropriately.
- Performs thorough assessments that are systematic, comprehensive, and accurate.
- Demonstrates competent clinical skills and provides appropriate nursing care to the population of the unit.
- Maintains complete and accurate documentation of the nursing process and patient's progress.
- Demonstrates professional practice responsibility and knowledge of policies and procedures.
- Consistently responds professionally and courteously to promote a patient-centered environment.
- Follows National Patient Safety Goals, including the use of safe transfer techniques and proper body mechanics.
- Individualizes patient care according to procedure and type of anesthesia across the continuum of care.
- Contributes by prioritizing care based on patient needs and changes in condition.
- Assesses patient's understanding of surgical procedures and actively includes them in teaching.
