THE ROLE IN SHORT:
- We are expanding and seeking a Group Product Manager to steer our global product vision & strategy for our customers' driver experience.
- The Group Product Manager for Driver Experience will oversee the strategy and development of mobile applications and hardware devices for drivers, with a global scope.
- This role includes supervising product managers responsible for driver devices & tablets, driver behavior & coaching, and mobile application solutions, as well as collaborating closely with R&D, UX / UI, and regional teams in Europe, North America, and Latin America. Strong leadership and expertise in global product management and driver-centric technologies are essential.
STRATEGY
- Develop our global vision (6-18mo) for driver experience integrating mobile apps and hardware (e.g., tablets, light bars), and represent this vision with global executive team; specifically, this product portfolio includes:
- Driver Mobile applications
- Driver Devices & Tablets
- Driver Behavior & Coaching
- Mobile Electric Vehicle (EV) Solutions
- Own & move objectives and metrics across our portfolio of driver solutions to support business outcomes, and anticipate & propose team resource needs to support future ambitions.
- Own & evangelize our overall roadmap for driver solutions across the business, including providing regular updates / reporting to executive team.
- Deeply understand and ensure all PMs understand customer & market needs for their solutions, including coaching PMs to build research & discovery competencies.
- Drive global improvement and innovation in driver-focused software and hardware solutions, staying updated on industry trends and integrate new technologies.
- Champion data-driven mindset across the team, embedding focus on device and app usage, driver engagement, and feature performance across PMs to improve decision-making and business outcomes.
- Steer prioritization on new developments across the portfolio of driver solutions, applying sound judgement to arbitrate priorities & capacity across PMs and development teams where required.
- Collaborate with UX / UI and R&D leadership to align support for new product initiatives, and support & coach to PMs to develop technical competencies in solution & experience design.
- Ensure that all PMs focused on driver solutions are rigorous in defining well-formed, initiatives with clear purpose, requirements, and plan ready for development.
- Collaborate with R&D and UX/UI leadership to align capacity and support timely delivery of agreed roadmap priorities, including escalation & resolution of significant risks or blockers.
- Ensure that PMs and development teams have feedback loops in place to validate quality of what is implemented and incorporate learnings into future iterations.
- Collaborate with regional go-to-market (G2M) teams to ensure successful launch and scale-up of solutions, including offer packaging and pricing.
- Directly manage, coach, and develop PMs and POs focused on driver solutions, including providing regular behavioural and task-level feedback, defining & monitoring career plans and development plans, and completing performance appraisals.
- Contribute to and champion standards of excellence across our Product team to support individual and team performance.
- Leads end-to-end hiring and onboarding process for new PMs or POs join the team for driver solutions
- Develop & retain high performing team members and identifies signals of attrition or burnout; anticipate future hiring roadmap for the Agile Delivery Stream over 6-12 months
- A bachelor's degree with a track record of continuous professional growth; MBA or advanced degree preferred
- 6+ years direct involvement with information technology / SaaS applications, including at least 3+ years of performing strongly at PM- or SPM-level
- Demonstrated experience delivering results in a changing environment, with proven capability as an individual contributor
- Demonstrated experience in coaching and developing SPMs, PMs, and POs, ideally in a direct line manager capacity
- Experience with driver-focused applications and hardware (e.g., tablets, light bars) a plus
- Demonstrated experience in delivery, design, and product tools (eg, Jira, Aha!, Figma, MixPanel)
- Advanced understanding of UX / UI design heuristics and design processes
- Advanced understanding of technology applications & architecture and solutioning processes
- Advanced understanding of go-to-market methodologies, including pricing techniques
- Strong ability to collaborate, communicate, present and negotiate effectively
- Sound judgement and decision-making skills
- High quality standards for work output with excellent attention to detail
- Native or fluent English speaker, other any languages are an assets with particular focus on French and/or Brazilian Portuguese
