Job Title: Forklift Operator
Job Description
Operators will do anything and everything in the warehouse to ensure customer orders are filled and ready for delivery promptly. Tasks include general cleaning of the plant, washing hoses, large totes, and drums, and disposing of drums. This role primarily involves handling liquid chemicals used for water treatment. Operators will take direction from the shift manager, fill orders, stage them at the dock, and load trucks upon arrival. They will also clean hoses, tidy up the warehouse, and clean drums as needed. Operators will use electronic pallet jacks and sit-down forklifts to move finished totes or palletized drums and stage them in labeled rows for each truck. Accurate completion of paperwork, including process conditions, test results, instrument readings, and shipping documents, is essential. Additionally, operators will spend significant time washing and disposing of used totes and drums, especially when new, due to a backlog of work.

SHIFT
2nd shift (12pm-8pm, sometimes 8:30pm to finish a truck)
PPE
Operators must be ready to wear bump cap, safety glasses, gloves, respirator in some areas, and a 'chemical suit' which looks like thick overalls. The suit adds 10-15 degrees of heat. The warehouse is temperature-controlled to an extent, but it will still be hot in the summer while moving around and wearing the suit.
