The Runne/Forklift Operator is responsible for maintaining a consistent flow of raw ingredients, packaging material and finished goods between the production lines and storage or shipping areas.
1. Arrive to work on time and strive to stay ahead. Efficiency is a must so stay focused on your area.
2. Monitor needs and maintain communication with shuttle operators, Room Supervisors and Receiving Supervisor and be attentive to the ongoing needs of the production lines.
3. Know your assigned production room and preplan shifts accordingly to have materials positioned properly as communicated by the Production Room Supervisor.
4. Assure all pallets entering the room are free of dirt, broken pallet pieces, etc.
5. Assure that any items not used during production are removed from the room and returned to the proper location in the cooler or warehouse.
6. Assure that all items are pulled at the end of your shift for the next day's production based on the pull sheets given to you by the Warehouse Supervisor.
7. Report any raw material shortages to the Warehouse Supervisor and the Production Room Supervisor.
8. Always check in and check out daily with the Warehouse Supervisor to assure you are notified of any last-minute schedule changes that may occur.
9. Obey all O.S.H.A / safety training for the equipment that you operate.
10. Complete Operator Daily Checklist and Battery Water Level Checklist, as assigned, for the equipment you operate.
11. Oversee and maintain your assigned areas. Clean and organize products in an appropriate manner.
12. Assure all of your equipment has been returned to the proper locations and hooked up for charging. (including lifts, radios, and thermometers)
13. Follow all GMP's and SSOP's for that work area
14. Inform the company in case of absence or late arrival
15. Follow all safety and security rules
16. Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
To perform this job successfully, the employee must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The employee must be able to work flexible hours and at times flexible shifts. The employee must pass pallet jack training class and receive documentation upon completion.
The employee is frequently exposed to cold and wet and/or humid conditions in order to perform the essential functions of this job. The employee is occasionally
exposed to moving mechanical parts, airborne particles and extreme cold.
All Runners will cover each other during their absences as assigned by the Warehouse Supervisor.
Pay rate: 15 an hour + ($1.00 Shift Differential)
