Description

  • Research and develop cooperative driving automation software, smart infrastructure technology, and collaborative simulation tools
  • Work with connected automated vehicles (CAV) and related infrastructure
  • Develop cooperative driving automation (CDA) systems, including vehicle-to-infrastructure, vehicle-to-pedestrian, and vehicle-to-vehicle communication hardware and software
  • Conduct real-time collaborative testing across physically distributed locations using live and simulated assets
  • Create advanced simulations of vehicles, pedestrians, and transportation infrastructure
  • Participate in traffic optimization and intelligent transportation systems

Role Summary

  • Seeking a Systems Engineer with a strong background in hardware and software integration, testing, and evaluation
  • Collaborate with engineering teams, develop and execute test plans, and perform data analysis
  • Oversee testing process and solution advancements for the future of transportation
  • Anticipated pay range for this role: $80,000 - $100,000

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with project teams, customers, and external stakeholders
  • Conduct simulation and field testing of automated vehicles and connected infrastructure
  • Define functional requirements, performance metrics, and support planning for test campaigns
  • Oversee integration, verification, validation, and regression testing
  • Coordinate with development teams to resolve technical issues

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in relevant field
  • 2+ years of experience in a laboratory or test environment
  • Strong knowledge of testing and evaluating software in a Linux environment
  • Proficiency in deploying and configuring Linux and Windows operating systems
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge of Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS), V2X messaging, and CAV operations
  • Proficiency in network administration and simulation tools
  • Experience developing with ROS, Java, C++, C#, and C
  • Ability to collaborate with external communities and stakeholders
