POSITION SUMMARY: Under the general supervision of the Director of Nursing Operations or House Supervisor, this individual is responsible for driving patients to and from Northwest Healthcare System by providing transportation services to the hospital from the Free-Standing Emergency Departments as well as transporting patients who are an obstacle to throughput secondary to not having a ride home. The Driver shall respond safely, effectively, and efficiently to all related matters that come to his/her attention and in the performance of these activities, or others as assigned.
PROVISION OF SERVICES
Provides transportation for NWTHS patients to and from Northwest Healthcare System by providing transportation services to the hospital from the Free-Standing Emergency Departments as well as transporting patients who are an obstacle to throughput secondary to not having a ride home. Completes all necessary shuttle usage summaries as required.

QualificationsEDUCATION, TRAINING, EXPERIENCE AND LICENSES/REGISTRATIONS REQUIRED:
* High School Diploma or GED.
* Current valid Texas Driver's License
* A Driver's Record validation is required annually for all authorized drivers of owned or leased vehicles and for all candidates who are required to utilize their personal vehicle during the course of authorized company business. Authorized drivers cannot have any of the following:
o A State record indicating that the driver's license is currently revoked, suspended or that the status is not valid and current;
o Multiple violations for driving without insurance;
o Two at-fault accidents during the past three (3) years;
o Three moving violations during the last three (3) years; and,
o Driving under the influence (DUI) or driving while intoxicated (DWI) convictions.
