Description
The Learning Grove Academy Jonesboro is a licensed childcare center seeking a Bus Driver! This is an exciting opportunity for a self-motivated, energetic candidate who is passionate about early childhood education.
To be QUALIFIED for this position, we require a high school diploma OR GED, valid driver license and CDL Class C, and the ability to pass all background checks. Must be 23 years of age with a clean driving history. A plus if you have previous childcare experience!
Required Shift: Monday - Friday, Part time hours 1-3 to drive the bus or 1-6:30 if willing to work in the afterschool program.
Compensation: $15 an hour, based on education and experience

Our Hiring Process:

- Phone screen with recruiter (30 minutes)
- On-site interview with Center Director (30-45 minutes)

Main Job Responsibilities:
- Transport children daily while following state regulations and health regulations pertaining to duties.
- Follow proper protocol and submit required paperwork to Director in a timely manner.
- Communicate with parents effectively both written and verbally.
- Support coordinating field trips and communicate logistics, procedures and expectations to administration, teachers, and parents.
- Mentor and train substitute Bus drivers to cover absences.
- Maintain the vehicle according to state regulations.
- Maintain a clean, orderly and safe bus.
- Physical ability to work around small children including sitting, standing, walking, running and climbing stairs.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 40 lbs. and fulfill all physical requirements of the role.
