Position Title: DriverWage: $19-$22/hourShift: 1stHours: 7am-4pm + Rotating WeekendsQPS is hiring a Driver for a company in Sun Prairie, WI. This is a direct hire opportunity.Driver Responsibilities include but are not limited to:- Perform daily checklists on vehicles before driving them to ensure that mechanical, safety, and emergency equipment is in good working order, report vehicle defects or damage to the vehicles- Maintain logs of working hours and of vehicle service and repair status, following applicable state and federal regulations- Obtain receipts or signatures when loads are delivered and collect payment for services when required- Check all load-related documentation (including bills of lading) to ensure that it is complete and accurate- Practice and perform excellent service for all customers- Protect company values by keeping financial information and plans confidential- Report injuries to manager immediately- Drive safely and responsibly, immediately report any accidents or traffic violations- Additional job responsibilities to be determined by Manager- Sort, stock, and move lumber and building materials in all types of weather and terrain- Fill orders- Load supplies for customers- Operate power tools, saws, and chainsaws- Read special orders from salespeople- Read instructions from supervisors or salespeople in handling customer requests and safety procedures in the workplaceDriver Requirements:- Read carefully the products labels, warnings, and directions posted in the products and warehouse- Complete inventory sheets- Read invoices and orders- Read and follow work schedules- Enter number entries in loading sheets- Look in the charts for the weights of forklifts that can carry and lift- Must have FedMed Card- Must have a valid CDL- Maneuver trucks into loading or unloading positions, following signals from loading crew as needed; check that vehicle position is correct and any special loading equipment is properly positioned, operate hydraulic lift gates safely- Secure cargo for transport, using wedges and straps; ensure safety when inspecting- Drive trucks to weigh stations along routes, to comply with state regulations- Use cellphones to exchange information with supervisors or other drivers; ensure hands free communication while operating vehicle- Perform basic vehicle maintenance including adding oil, fuel, and radiator fluid, or performing minor repairsQPS Employment Group is a full-service staffing firm comprised of dedicated and passionate people with over 50 offices throughout the Midwest.
