Performs a wide range of technical functions in support of operations Outpatient Retail & Specialty Pharmacy in those aspects of pharmacy that do not require the professional judgment of a pharmacist. Other duties may be assigned.Ensures compliance with federal and state regulations to limit drug diversion, including collecting prescription hard copies, reviewing government issued photo ID' etc.Assists and delivers packaged pharmaceuticals, supplies and equipment in a timely, safe and accountable manner.Cooperates with other pharmacy staff members when planning and organizing daily delivery services.Collects patient information to include: verification of person delivered to, signature and collection of payment information.Maintains patient privacy at all times according to HIPAA and ensures security of Protected Health Information and Medications that are couriered.Collaborates with pharmacy staff to collect appropriate prescription and patient information prior to dispensing medication.Ensures patient's prescription order is complete prior to delivery.Ensures proper handling and storage of all medications (i.e. refrigeration).Meets expectations for customer satisfaction and anticipates customer needs.Follows up with Director or Manager on issues that cannot be resolved by coworkers or that require immediate attention.
