The Client Technology Delivery Lead plays a crucial role in leading and managing the delivery of technology & data solutions to clients. This position requires a blend of strong client-facing leadership, strategic sensibility, project management skills, and technical expertise. Additionally, this role involves understanding complex data models to meet clients data needs including the ability to read and support the development of data diagrams on architecture design.

The goal of the Client Technology Delivery Lead is to ensure successful project outcomes, maintain strong client relationships, and drive continuous improvement within the technology team. This role is essential for aligning technical and/or data deliverables with client expectations and achieving business objectives.

Position Duties & Responsibilities:

Client Leadership and Management:

  • Client Engagement: Act as the primary point of contact for clients, understanding their needs, expectations, and business objectives. Maintain regular communication to provide updates and gather feedback.
  • Stakeholder Management: Engage with various stakeholders, both internal and external, to ensure alignment to client objectives and approach throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Value Delivery: Ensure that the delivered solutions provide tangible value to the client, contributing to their business goals and success.

Project Management and Coordination:

  • Planning and Execution: Develop comprehensive agile delivery plans, including timelines, milestones, and resource allocation, ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget.
  • Agile Methodology: Utilize agile practices such as Scrum or Kanban to manage project progress, facilitate daily stand-ups, sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives.
  • Reporting: Prepare and present regular project status reports to clients, highlighting achievements, challenges, and next steps.
  • Financial Management: Manage and oversee overall project progress and burn rate, while managing the team accordingly to mitigate risk and ensure financial health of the client and project.
  • Risk Management: Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to address any issues that may impact project delivery.

Team Leadership and Collaboration Delivery:

  • Team Coordination: Lead and coordinate cross-functional teams, including UX designers, solution architects, data engineers, developers, QA engineers, and other relevant cross-functional team members, ensuring effective collaboration and communication.
  • Quality Control: With support of the team, define, implement and oversee quality assurance processes to ensure deliverables meet the highest standards. Conduct regular reviews and testing to identify and resolve issues.

Technical Expertise and Guidance:

  • Technical Leadership: Provide technical guidance and support to clients and internal team, ensuring that solutions are technically sound, scalable, and aligned with industry standards and best practices.
  • Counseling clients on how to best activate on, and identify opportunities to add impact or capability, to current marketing automation tools.
  • Provide proactive and strategically driven recommendations to clients to identify new opportunities to maximize effectiveness and impact.
  • Innovation: Stay updated with the latest technological advancements and trends. Advocate for the adoption of new tools, technologies, and methodologies that can enhance project delivery and client satisfaction.
  • Metrics and KPIs: Track key performance indicators (KPIs) and project metrics to monitor progress and performance. Use data-driven insights to make informed decisions and adjustments.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, communications, public relations, or equivalent work experience.
  • Seven or more years of marketing/advertising/consulting experience in an agency setting.
  • Eight or more years relevant work experience across MarTech, CRM, Digital, 1to1 marketing, creative, social and paid media with a heavy emphasis and interest in the digital strategy required to execute in these channels.
  • Minimum of four years of project or delivery management experience that includes diverse digital deliverables.
  • Passion for learning the client’s business, including company business goals and objectives, products, markets, brand positioning, competitive landscape, industry, distribution, etc.
  • Full project ownership and implementation from initiation to delivery for multiple simultaneous digital initiatives such as website development, marketing automation, personalization, technical implementations, etc.
  • Experience creating and driving sprint plans and timelines to ensure that key project milestones are met.
  • Previous experience managing evolving initiatives and multi-channel marketing campaigns that may include overall customer experience strategy, marketing automation, email marketing, web design and development, management, digital marketing campaigns, SEO, analytics, etc.
  • Previous experience defining scope, building and managing budgets, and outlining resource plans to align appropriate talent to the project.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to diplomatically handle a fast-paced work environment.
  • Ability to anticipate, plan and prioritize to manage the workload effectively and efficiently.
  • Ability to understand data and reporting and provide summaries and insights to the clients.
  • Leadership skills and the desire to mentor.
  • Experience leading in an agile environment.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Desire to always be learning, growing and having fun in the work!
