Working together across all job functions is critical to achieving our success. * *ABOUT THE JOB:The CDL Driver with Boom Crane Operator experience will be well qualified and responsible of transporting and unloading equipment and products to construction sitesESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.Transport Concrete boxes, manholes and other crane related equipment and construction products to the job site in a safe and timely mannerAssist and supervise the loading of the truck to ensure proper order, weight distribution, and securing cargoReceive from dispatcher delivery ticket for products, directions to the job site and any special instructions and follow them to the detailMaintain complete and accurate records such as DOT drivers' daily logs, fuel receipts, delivery documentation and any other required documents according to state and federal regulationsBuild and maintain good customer relationshipsPerform pre-trip inspections and post-trip of assigned vehicle and report immediately any concerns or problemsObtain shipping bills and necessary signatures and return completed paperwork to the shipping departmentProvide and document proper routine maintenance of the assigned truck and loading/unloading equipmentSurvey job site and unload cargo in the best area available in a safe mannerDevelop precise knowledge of inventory, sizes, types, colors and pallet packagingMonitor and immediately report problems with assigned product quality, customer satisfaction and tr afficWork within company policy and procedures as written in the company Policy Manual, Safety Manual and OSHA Safety rules.Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor as needed.Regular, reliable and predictable attendance is necessary in order to perform the essential functions of this positionSUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:NoneKNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES:Ability to lift 50+ poundsAbility to drive/operate multiple types of vehicles and equipmentInterpersonal skills to communicate effectively and efficientlyAbility to follow up with customers in a timely mannerUnderstanding the importance of time managementAttention to detailWorks and communicates effectivel with all levels of the companyMust possess solid written and verbal communication skills and be able to perform basic computer operations such as opening and closing work ordersEDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:High School Diploma or GEDValid CDL, Class A required5 years crane and boom truck experience is preferred3 years minimum field experience in the tradeNCCCO or NCCER Certification is requiredAble to identify all hand signals, weight limits, safety regulations, and operating codes that are relevant for crane operationDetailed oriented and good communication skills a plusMust be at least 25 years of ageMust have a clean driving recordAble to work overtime on a regular basisPre-employment drug screen and random drug screens are requiredNorthwest Pipe is an equal opportunity employer.
