Travel Nurse RN - Labor/Delivery in Northridge, CA

Weekly Pay Range - $2662 To $2958 Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) Job Specialty: Labor & Delivery Job Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 12-hour Nights, Every Other Weekend, First to Float Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week Experience: Minimum 2 years in specialty License: Required to submit Certifications: - ACLS - Advanced Fetal Monitoring - BLS - COVID Vaccine Required - NRP Must-Have: - C-section experience, circulating required, scrubbing preferred - Willingness to float to postpartum - Travel experience preferred Job Description: - The department has 19 labor and delivery beds with 3 C-section suites. - Expected to handle approximately 60 births per month. - Nurse-to-patient ratios adhere to AWOHNN guidelines, typically 1:1 or 1:2. - Utilizes the Fetal Link system for fetal monitoring. - The department uses Cerner Power Chart for electronic medical records. - A Charge Nurse and 1 OB tech are available. - Weekend work is required every other weekend. - Holiday work includes one major and one minor holiday in both winter and summer. - GE monitors are used for telemetry. - OB specialists are available in-house 24/7. - Respiratory therapy and pharmacy services are available around the clock. - Expected to manage high-risk pregnancies and provide care from 14 weeks and above. - Common conditions include preeclampsia, diabetes, infections, pre-term labor, placental abruption, substance abuse, and lack of prenatal care. - The team provides a friendly atmosphere, with permanent staff being receptive to travelers. - The facility retains the right to cancel up to three full or partial shifts per contract.
