Akima IT Services Procurement and Delivery Specialist – SECRET Required

Location: Honolulu, Hawaii

The IT Services Procurement and Delivery Specialist serves as the IT Contract Technical Representative, providing a single point of contact for all contracted hardware, software, and networking requirements. This role is crucial for overseeing service requests including new systems, major modifications to existing systems, and the integration of emerging technologies. The specialist manages a portfolio encompassing 11,200 IT services, 3,700 systems, various Commercial off the Shelf (COTS) applications, VIP services, and other IT-related contract offerings.

Responsibilities

  1. Assists directorates and subordinate commands in determining the feasibility of IT requests under current DoD service contracts, defining the scope of IT requirements, and providing pricing details.
  2. Analyzes IT service requests for Move, Add, and Change (MAC) operations, translates these into electronic forms, and submits them for processing while ensuring timely execution.
  3. Provides expertise required to execute purchases that enable information sharing, collaboration, and interoperability within both federated and centralized business models.
  4. Coordinates software testing, certification, deployment, and attends funding board meetings to track approvals and communicate outcomes to command customers.
  5. Maintains a comprehensive understanding of service contracts, managing technical refresh cycles, providing Contract Line-Item Number (CLIN) interpretation, and advising on cost-effective solutions.
  6. Broad knowledge in network concepts, standards, and protocols is essential to identify system deficiencies and suggest corrective measures.
  7. Tracks all IT service deliveries, reports any delays, and stays updated on contract modifications and policy changes.
  8. Submits Monthly Status Reports detailing accomplishments and any issues requiring government action to the Contracting Officer's Representative (COR)-appointed Technical Assistant (TA), ensuring effective communication and adherence to project timelines and objectives.

Qualifications

  1. Experience using Microsoft Office tools (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook).
  2. Bachelor’s Degree in IT field or equivalent experience with IT project management.
  3. At least 2 years of experience with Contracted networks and/or DoD contracting.

Posted Salary Range

$69,000 to $77,000
