Driver - Route

Belfonte currently has a Class B school route driving position open. This person will be responsible for, but no limited to the following:
Drives a truck over an established route to deliver and sell products or render services of the dairy industry to customer's place of business.
Driver must follow all Department of Transportation regulations.
Collects money from customers, makes change, and records transactions on customer receipt. Writes customer orders and instructions; records sales or delivery information on daily sales or delivery record.
Informs regular customers of new products.
Listens to and resolves service complaints.
Requirements:

• Must have a valid Class B or better CDL (Commercial Driver's License)
• Must be able to use a two-wheeler to move products.
• Must be able to walk and stand on concrete for long periods of time.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds continually during the shift.
• Must be able to lift, bend, twist, turn and move objects above and below the head.
• Must be able to work continually in a cold damp climate of 33 degrees.
• Must be able to perform work in a manner and speed consistent with established levels.
• Must be able to learn/use the handheld computers and printers.
• Must be able to present invoices and receipts and collect payment for goods delivered or loaded.
• Must be able to read load sheets and invoices accurately.
• Must be able to follow both written and verbal instructions, perform basic math functions, and fill out written daily reports accurately.
• Must be able to count accurately.
• Must be able to follow written and verbal geographic directions.
• Must be able to work extended shifts and may be required to work flexible schedule as needed.

This is a 4 day week route, Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday. Typically average 10 hour days.
The successful candidate must keep the inside of the truck clean, perform routine maintenance on truck and work and drive in a safe, courteous and efficient manner.
