General InformationJob Title: Local Bulk DriverContact: Leisa Kelsey, 9073287637Date Posted: 01/26/2022Location: Fairbanks TerminalCompensation and HoursMinimum Salary: DOEMaximum Salary: DOEType of Job: Full TimeBenefits: NoneAnticipated Job Duration: None SelectedJob DescriptionPOSITION PROFILEThis position is responsible for our customer's bulk transport by way of pickups and deliveries.ESSENTIAL DUTIESOperate safely and in compliance with all established HSSE policies and proceduresInspect trucks and trailer(s) for defects through pre-trip, mid-trip and post-trip inspections and submit reports indicating their conditionOperate a variety of trucks and equipment adhering to posted speed limits and all other local, state, and federal laws and regulationsMaintain driver e-logs and e-maintenance logs according to State and Federal regulationsMake customer pick-ups in a manner that reflects superior customer serviceSpot and park trucks to warehouse, chock wheels, and assist in unloading freightMaintain contact with dispatcher to receive accurate dispatch instructions and report safety hazards and/or incidents involving the driver or any company equipmentEnsure that cargo is secured for transport according to the FMCSRsMaintain a clean work environment including swept trailer, clean cab, windows, and mirrorsDetermine discrepancies in paperwork and make correctionsVerify proper placarding when hauling HAZMATOther duties as assignedQUALIFICATIONS (Education, Experience, and Certifications)High school education or a GED equivalentClass A CDL driver’s license with all endorsements, including HAZMATDoubles certification preferred, but not requiredOne to three years of verifiable safe driving experience preferred, newly graduated drivers welcomedKNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIESMust have excellent written, verbal and listening communication skillsImpeccable character, integrity, and unfailing initiative in a team environment.Must be customer focused and represent Carlile in a professional and friendly mannerMust be able to prioritize daily tasks and assignmentsMust pay attention to detail and accuracyMust be able to multitask and have excellent time management skillsMust be able to drive in adverse weather conditions, ice, snow, rain, etc.Must have experience with product pump, overflow protection, calibration chart knowledge and knowledge of ullage.WORKING ENVIRONMENTThe physical demands and work environment described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this position.While performing the duties of this job, the employee frequently works in outside weather conditions (snow, ice, rain, wind, etc.).
