Driver - Class A

Description
Shepard Bros., a premier family-owned manufacturer and supplier of specialty chemicals and services to a variety of industries in the Western United States, has an immediate opening in for a Class A driver with Hazmat and Tanker endorsements to deliver products throughout Southern California. The position offers a competitive compensation package along with career growth potential.
Responsibilities
•Transport chemical, water treatment, and food ingredient orders to customer destinations
•Maintain truck and trailer to comply with D.O.T. regulations
•Provide a high level of professional service to customers
•Comply with all company safety rules, policies, and procedures
Qualifications
Requirements:
•Chemical unloading experience is required. Pump-off experience is preferred but not required
•Class A CDL with Hazmat and tanker endorsements
•Deliver products from Shepard Bros La Habra facility to customer sites throughout Southern California. Work schedule is Monday through Friday.
•High School Diploma or GED
•Minimum of 21 years of age
•Minimum of 2 years of trailer experience
•Possess at least one year of experience working with chemicals
•Graduate of an accredited truck driving school a plus
•Clean driving and criminal record
•Must pass background check, physical, drug screen, and obtain a D.O.T. medical card
•Shipping/Receiving, forklift, and packaging experience a plus
•Basic written and verbal communication skills
