Truck Driver, Light

CYNWAVE Solutions, LLC is seeking a Truck Driver, Light to be responsible for the safe transportation of goods, materials, and equipment using light trucks, ensuring timely deliveries in accordance with the mission's needs. This position requires adherence to all safety regulations and efficiently handling of transport-related tasks. This position is contingent upon contract award.
Key Responsibilities:

• Drive light trucks (typically under 26,000 pounds) to deliver or pick up goods, supplies, and equipment as needed.
• Assist with loading and unloading cargo, ensuring it is properly secured for transportation.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicles operate safely. Report any mechanical issues or damage immediately.
• Maintain accurate delivery logs, manifests, and trip reports. Complete all necessary paperwork for shipments in compliance with company and regulatory requirements.
• Follow all Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations and safety procedures, including maintaining a clean driving record. Use required safety equipment and ensured the safe transport of hazardous materials if applicable.
• Communicate with dispatchers, supervisors, and customers to clearly understand delivery schedules, routes, and cargo handling instructions.
• Plan efficient routes to ensure on-time deliveries, minimizing delays and fuel consumption. Adjust routes as necessary due to traffic, weather, or other unforeseen conditions.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• 1-2 years of experience as a light truck driver preferred. Experience working with military contracts or in a military environment is a plus.
• Valid state-issued driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Strong knowledge of driving safety protocols and vehicle operation.
• Physically capable of lifting and handling materials as needed (up to 50 lbs).
• Knowledge of DOT regulations.

Additional Requirements:

• Must be eligible to work on a federal military contract, including passing background checks and drug testing.
• Occasional weekend or overtime work may be required.
• Exposure to warehouse and outdoor environments.
