**Job Title:** Registered Nurse - Labor and Delivery
**Job Specialty:** Labor and Delivery
**Job Duration:** 13 weeks
**Shift:** Day 3x12-Hour (07:00 - 19:30)
**Guaranteed Hours:** Not specified
**Experience:** Minimum of 5 years in high acuity and high pace environment required, with at least 3 years of experience.
**License:** Pending license is okay; please indicate the license status as Active, In Process, or No License. For "In Process" status, please provide the applied date and estimated issue date.
**Certifications:** EPIC electronic fetal monitoring experience is valued.
**Must-Have:**
- Experience in circulating and providing newborn care, including eyes and Vitamin K injections, newborn assessments.
- Experience with Heparin, Insulin, Magnesium Sulfate.
- Must float to postpartum/antepartum units and may float to sister facilities within the scope of practice.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and high-acuity environment.
- Functions in the role of Baby Nurse during delivery and continues care of the newborn until transfer to postpartum.
**Job Description:**
- Candidates with experience in high-risk labor and delivery are preferred.
- Staffing follows AWHONN guidelines for high-risk/high-volume labor and delivery.
- Handle midwifery clients, private OBs, adult recovery services supporting substance recovery, and community care clinics.
- Willingness to work every other weekend and holidays as needed.
- Pre-approved time off will be determined on a case-by-case basis.
- Participation in an orientation program that requires 40 hours of non-billable time.
- Modules are non-billable, with an average of 16 hours. Over 20 hours require prior approval.
**Additional Information:**
Please ensure that all candidates understand the floating policy, including the responsibility to find transportation to any facility they may be floated to, within a 40-mile radius or less. Refusal to float may result in termination of the assignment and/or forfeiture of guaranteed hours. Two supervisory references covering a year of employment within the last three years within a comparable specialty/setting are required.
