Job Description

The work to fulfill our vision of making Oregon the safest and healthiest place to work begins with our own employees. We recognize that building a workplace where every SAIF employee finds value in their contributions depends on championing diversity, equity, and inclusion at every level.

As our DEI team begins launching an exciting new strategy for creating an employee-centered culture, SAIF is looking for a new DEI business partner to play a pivotal role in the innovation and success of these initiatives. You’ll be tasked with listening to individuals across the organization to find and address challenges to the employee experience, regularly connect with and support key divisional leaders, create learning and training opportunities that improve awareness and understanding of inclusive and equitable business practices, and deliver presentations on topics like effective communication and team dynamics.

To be considered for this role, you’ll need at least four years of experience in a business partner or employee engagement/relations-facing role. Certified diversity professional (CDP), SHRM, and/or organizational psychology certifications are preferred. Knowledge and experience with employee resource groups, affinity groups, and employee councils are also preferred.

If you’re interested in joining a DEI team that values collaborating toward shared success, continuing education and career growth, and maintaining a balance between life and work, apply for our DEI business partner position today.

Note: This job requires that you live and work in the State of Oregon full-time and may require travel to SAIF’s offices in Salem on occasion.

  • Lead crucial, challenging conversations to foster open dialogue among employees.
  • Expand and rebrand the Inclusive Leadership Competencies (ILC) learning series to align with DEI division strategic priorities.
  • Explore diverse perspectives and consistently behave sensitively toward differences in cultural norms, expectations, and ways of communicating. Work effectively with others who have different perspectives, backgrounds, and/or work styles.
  • Continually sustain the Inclusive Leadership Certification (ILC) through the Explorer level on an annual basis.
