Job Summary: The Delivery Driver will be responsible for delivering orders to Pinemelon.com customers in a safe and efficient manner while practicing exceptional customer service. Prior delivery driver/large vehicle experience is required.
Shift Availability: 5am-3pm- Wednesday-Sundays must be available at least 2 of the following days: Friday, Saturday, Sunday Monday.
*Seasonal, 90 day employment is available as well as permanent employment*
Location:
5915 Broadway, Denver, CO, 80216- this is NOT remote opportunity
Duties/Responsibilities:
• Plans and completes an efficient delivery and pick up route for the day.
• Loads delivery vehicle with parcels scheduled for delivery.
• Delivers orders to correct addresses, obtaining signatures and proof of receipt when necessary.
• Follows best practices for safety, both on the road and while loading or unloading delivery vehicle
• Maintains basic records of vehicle mileage and deliveries made.
• Ensures that delivery vehicle receives basic service according to maintenance schedule; reports larger service needs and mechanical issues to supervisor.
• Communicates with drivers and other teammates to make deliveries
• Assists in general warehouse duties when delivery route is completed.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities:
• Ability to drive safely- a valid driver's license and ability to pass an MVR (motor vehicle report)
• Ability to use navigation tools such as onboard GPS, smartphone apps, and/or web-based or physical maps.
• Ability to plan delivery routes.
• Ability to maintain basic logs and records.
• Ability to carry out a series of instructions without constant supervision.
• Able to remain professional and courteous at all times.
Education and Experience:
• Prior delivery driving experience REQUIRED
• Prior customer service experience preferred
• Food Handler or Manager certified preferred
Physical Requirements:
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds regularly.
• Must be able to load and unload packages with and without dollies in various types of weather.
