Warehouse Specialist/Medium Truck Driver

Description

We are seeking a Warehouse Specialist/Medium Truck Driver (NON CDL) to support logistics operations at the Navy Array Technical Support Center in Newport, RI. The role involves vehicle loading and unloading, driving a medium stake body truck, material receipt and issue, inventory maintenance, and packaging of materials for shipment.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Vehicle loading and unloading, driving, making deliveries with medium stake body truck. (NON CDL)
• Material receipt and issue
• Inventory maintenance
• Receipt, issue, and location recordkeeping (hardcopy and electronic)
• Material movement (using hand and powered lift trucks)
• Packaging and preparation of materials for shipment

Basic Qualifications

• Previous experience supporting warehousing activities
• Ability to lift up to 30 lbs unassisted
• Valid driver's license, clean driving record
• Interim Secret clearance to start on program and obtain final Secret to remain on program
• Must be able to pass a DOT physical

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience supporting warehousing activities
• Hold a valid, clean State driver's license

This role is covered by the Service Contract Act. This position will pay $20.65 per hour.
