Description
Westminster Canterbury Richmond is seeking a dependable Senior Driver to provide transportation for our residents and staff to locations on and off the campus in a safe and reliable manner following all company safety rules and state driving laws. Regularly inspect and maintain vehicles to ensure they are safe and in proper driving conditions.
Shift(s):
Full Time
  • Monday-Friday, 8a-4:30p
  • Occasional weekend hours and evening trips
  • A Senior Driver must hold a CDL with a Passenger endorsement

The successful candidate will have the following qualifications and skills:
  • Valid Driver's License in the State of Virginia with a good driving record
  • Be of 25 years of age or older
  • Valid Commercial Driver's License (Class B with a "P" (passenger) endorsement) in the State of Virginia
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • One year experience in customer service
  • Inspect and maintain vehicles (i.e. fueling, maintaining fluid levels and cleaning interior and exterior)
  • Drive residents and staff in company vehicles to assigned locations
  • Assist passengers in and out of vehicles and into locations as needed
  • Secure wheelchairs and walkers as needed
  • Respond to calls for return rides
  • Assist with transportation scheduling
  • Notify coordinator or peers when assistance is necessary
  • Experience working with the senior population is desired
  • Offers of employment are conditioned on applicants meeting requirements of a pre-employment drug screening and background check
