Warehouse/Delivery Associate

Since opening in 1952, STATE ELECTRIC SUPPLY CO. has grown into one of the nation's largest and best-known electrical distributors; with hundreds of employees and 40 locations in 7 states. Our customers are serviced by a local team of experienced and knowledgeable employees in each of our branches, with additional support from company-wide resources and specialists.
We are currently looking for a dynamic Warehouse/Delivery Associate to join the team at our Dunbar, WV location. This position will be responsible for assisting in the warehouse and completing local deliveries.
The WAREHOUSE DELIVERY ASSOCIATE will be responsible for:

• Assisting shipping and receiving materials or items.
• Loading and unloading materials or items.
• Checking in merchandise.
• Sorting and place materials or items on racks, shelves or in bins according to predetermined sequence such as size, type, style, and color or product code.
• Preparing parcels for mailing.
• Assisting in local deliveries as needed and assigned.

Job Skills and Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Prefer at least 1 year warehouse experience.
• Ability to satisfy training requirements in order to safely operate forklift, pallet jack and other warehouse equipment.
• A valid driver's license, and in some cases a commercial driver's license.
• Knowledge of how to handle materials safely, such as chemicals.
• Time management to ensure deliveries are made on schedule.
• Excellent vision and hand-eye coordination to stay safe while driving.
• Physical ability to load and unload heavy cargo.
