Overview
Shuttle Driver provides safe, efficient, and friendly inter-campus transportation service to passengers, utilizing the hospital shuttle system.
Responsibilities

• Provide courteous service to all passengers utilizing friendly greetings, smiles and professional interaction
• Report for scheduled shift on time and in uniform
• Ensure vehicle interior is clean and free of debris at all times
• Maintain and log accurate passenger counts each hour and report data as needed
• Complete daily vehicle log each shift accurately
• Report any maintenance issues to supervisor immediately and document on daily log
• Work with supervisor to fuel vehicles without compromising service levels
• Transport passengers to and from campus to designated locations in a safe and timely manner
• Obey all traffic laws at all times
• Maintain a clean driving record notifying supervisor of any moving violations within 72 hours of citation
• Provide expediting and dispatching support for shuttles, as directed by supervisor

• $22.00/hour

• 21 years of age or older
• Valid Commercial Driver's License with Passenger Endorsement (required), responsible driving record
• DOT Health Card required (company will provide for qualified applicants)
• Ability to operate lift accessible vehicles
• High School diploma or equivalent
• High standard of integrity
• Experience delivering quality service in customer/public environment
• Displays a positive attitude, flexibility, initiative and ability to communicate effectively
• Interpersonal Skills: Remains open to others' ideas and exhibits willingness to try new things
• Able to read, write, comprehend, and converse in the English language
• Previous driving experience a plus
• Physical Demands
• Able to sit for extended periods of time (approximately 90% of the workday)
• Ability to enter and exit a shuttle vehicle while navigating stairs in a safe manner
• Able to work in all weather conditions: heat, cold, rain, etc.
