Job Title: Forklift Operator (Day Shift)Job DescriptionAs a Forklift Operator, you will be responsible for efficiently loading and unloading trailers, rail cars, and containers. You will also support the roll cutter by supplying and emptying totes as needed, assist with roll splitting, sorting, deboxing, shredding, and receiving, and complete load sheets to accurately record grades, bale counts, and loading times for outbound shipments.ResponsibilitiesComplete daily pre-start forklift maintenance inspection report (or VCR).Load and unload trailers, rail cars, and containers.Support roll cutter by supplying and emptying totes as needed.Assist with roll splitting, sorting, deboxing, shredding, and receiving.Complete load sheet to accurately record grades, bale count, and loading start/stop times for outbound shipments.Assist with basic material grading.Complete and submit load sheet at completion of shipment.Follow proper trailer loading and unloading lock-out/tag-out procedure.Understand and follow load pattern according to trailer, railcar, bale size, and weight variables.Assist with removing finished bales and storing them in the proper location.Complete daily, weekly, and monthly PMs for all certified mobile equipment.Perform other duties as assigned.Essential SkillsExperience operating a sit-down forklift for 2+ years.Proficiency in loading and unloading.Ability to lift 50+ pounds.Knowledge of loading rail cars is a plus.Additional Skills & QualificationsBilingual abilities are a huge plus.Housekeeping duties such as cleaning are required.Why Work Here?Join a team that values safety, efficiency, and collaboration.
