Job Goal: To transport students to and from school and school events in a safe manner.Performance Responsibilities:Transport students/passengers to and from school and eventsSupervise and assist passengers (including disabled) to get on and off the busPerform pre-trip inspections dailyDischarge passengers at authorized stops onlyMaintain rules governing passenger conduct on busCollect and submit personal items left on bus to bus officeComplete and maintain accurate and timely records and reports, i.e. time sheets, mechanical reports, route descriptions, seating charts, etc.Attend scheduled in-service trainingAdhere to regular service schedule for busClean bus, i.e. sweeping, washing front and back windows, etc.Maintain positive communication with school personnel, parents, studentsDress appropriatelyPerform other duties as assignedMust have a valid SC Drivers License with no more than 4 points.Must pass Physical Assessment TestMust pass pre- employment drug screeningMust attend ALL required Bus Driver training and Professional DevelopmentMust pass SC Department of Transportation (DOT) physical and CDL requirementsStarting pay $21.28with no experience. Pay is determined by years of experience and maximum pay is $23.54Bus Driver positions are 9 months positions.
