Job Requirements / Description
**Job Title:** Registered Nurse (RN)
**Job Specialty:** Labor & Delivery (L&D) / Postpartum Recovery
**Job Duration:** 13 Weeks
**Shift:** 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM, Every Other Weekend Required, Holidays- At least one per season, No On-Call
**Guaranteed Hours:** 36.00 hours per week
**Experience:** Minimum 1-2 years of recent Labor & Delivery experience required
**License:** Active RN license required
**Certifications:**
- Basic Life Support (BLS) - AHA required
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) - AHA required
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) required
**Must-Have:**
- Highly reliable, availability must align with the full schedule, excluding any pre-disclosed unavailable days
- Ability to prioritize this role as the primary commitment
- English proficiency (read, write, speak)
- Preferred: Mother/Baby and/or Nursery experience
**Job Description:**
- Evaluate patients and assist physicians with patient care.
- Plan, implement, and document nursing care based on patient needs.
- Identify patient needs and determine priorities for care through assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation.
- Develop, implement, and coordinate individualized plans of care for assigned patients.
- Initiate assessments based on patient problems or needs, physician's medical diagnosis, and the functional health framework.
- Perform therapeutic nursing interventions.
- Manage care of patients effectively.
- Document care based on standards of care and practice, patient acuity, and/or clinical priorities.
- Advocate for evidence-based practice care standards and support adoption of evidence-based practices and innovations in care delivery.
- Provide patient-centric care in alignment with professional nursing practice model.
- Fulfill other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
**Schedule Notes:** Patient ratios vary daily based on the type of patients; Mother/Baby: 1:3-4, Labor Patient: 1:2. Must be highly reliable and work all scheduled days unless previously disclosed conflicts exist. No alternative jobs should interfere with this schedule.
