**Job Title:** Registered Nurse (RN)
**Job Specialty:** Labor and Delivery (L&D)
**Job Duration:** 13 weeks
**Shift:** 12-hour nights (1830-0700)
**Guaranteed Hours:** 36 hours per week
**Experience:** Minimum of 2 years
**License:** Required for submission
**Certifications:** BLS, NRP, Intro to Fetal Monitoring
**Must-Have:** Ability to circulate in OR
**Job Description:**
- Must be competent in normal newborn assessments and routine baby care
- Experience in high-risk obstetrics and routine obstetric care
- Titrate drips such as Pitocin, Magnesium Sulfate, and pain medications
- Ability to float to Postpartum unit as needed
- Work in both labor and antepartum settings with ratios of 1:1-2 for labor and 1:2-3 for antepartum
- Charge nurse available on both shifts, does not take an assignment
- Support provided by OB technicians per shift
- Neonatologist and anesthesia available in-house 24/7
- Use of nasal cannula; familiarity with Non-Invasive Ventilation troubleshooting
- Self-scheduling available; weekends required every third but possibly every other based on unit needs
- Holiday work requirement: 1 major, 1 minor
- EPIC charting system and Obix EFM system
- Surgical scrubs provided
- Requires teamwork, a positive attitude, flexibility, eagerness to learn, and openness to new challenges
- 2-3 shifts of unit/department-specific orientation provided
