Matic Transport Pty Ltd is a progressive transport and logistics company specializing in mining and resources supply chain operations throughout Australia. Due to our continued and expected growth, we seek a Depot Operations Supervisor to join our transport team based in Karratha, WA.

We are looking for a highly motivated and organized Depot Operations Supervisor to coordinate, allocate, plan and supervise our transport fleet and depot operations in our Karratha location. To achieve service objectives and KPI's concerning Coastal / Pilbara operations, the candidate must ensure that tasks are completed most efficiently within agreed standards and operational procedures.

ESSENTIAL POSITION CRITERIA:

1. Proven aptitude in safety leadership;
2. Previous experience in a similar role involving transport scheduling, labour allocating and transport depot operations;
3. Previous experience in administration control for the transport depot operations;
4. Sound knowledge of Heavy Vehicle Operations (HVO) including fatigue, maintenance, mass, dimension, and load restraint management;
5. Sound knowledge of light Vehicle Operations and warehouse management, including fatigue, maintenance, and load restraint management;
6. Awareness of government regulatory requirements involving Chain of Responsibility;
7. Demonstrated understanding of managing conflicting priorities in the workplace;
8. Adaptability to changing demands and pressures and to cope when things don't go according to plan;
9. Excellent communication skills and a focus on customer service excellence;
10. Use Microsoft Office (Excel) and Google products with openness towards innovation;
11. Use of tablet-based Transport Management Systems to assign driver tasks and capture delivery event data;

DESIRABLE POSITION CRITERIA:

1. Previous experience in mining and resources transport operations or heavy vehicle distribution;
2. Experience in hotshot and express freight and warehouse operations or similar;
3. HC or MC Heavy Vehicle Licence or a willingness to obtain.
