Full Job Description
Position: Child Nutrition Warehouse Delivery Driver
The Warehouse Driver will be responsible for transporting goods and materials from the warehouse to various locations.
Job Type - Ten Month
Reports to: Director of Child Nutrition
Job Goal: Keep the district school site kitchens in such a state of operating excellence that they
present no problems or interruptions to the meal program.
Employment Terms: 10 Months, 8 hours per day, 5:30 A.M. - 2:00 P.M., exclusive of a lunch
Occasionally, special arrangements may be made with the supervisor if the situation warrants. Supervisor
approval is required if the contract day varies.

Regular Requirements:
*While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, use
hands and fingers to handle or feel objects, tools, or controls, and talk or hear.
*The employee is frequently required to reach with hands and arms.
*The employee is occasionally required to sit. The employee frequently must squat, stoop, or
kneel, reach above the head, and reach forward.
*The employee continuously uses hand strength to grasp tools and climbs onto ladders.
*The employee will frequently bend or twist at the neck and trunk more than the average person
while performing the duties of this job. The employee must frequently lift and move up to 50
pounds, such as cleaning supplies, pails, and unloading trucks.
*Occasionally, the employee will lift and/or move up to 90 lbs.
*Helps unload delivery trucks.
*Puts up groceries in freezers, walk-ins, or pantries.
*Pulls items out of the freezer and walk-ins and pantries for the cooks.
*Knows inventory, rotates stock, and keeps items put away and off of the floor.
*Completes inventories at the end of every month.
*Keeps menus to know what items must be pulled and ready for use.
*Rotates all items by the dates.
*Makes room ahead of time for new items coming in on the trucks.
*Keeps freezers, walk-ins, and pantry areas clean. Removes all trash from floors, sweeps, and
mops areas regularly.
*Keeps loading dock clean; clear of all trash, leaves, and dirt. Sweeps and washes loading dock.
*Keeps low boy and carts clean.
*Brings pulls and returns sheets and milk invoices to the office.
*Performs all other tasks as the supervisor may assign
*The employee will sometimes push/pull items such as tables, bleachers, and scrubbing machines.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth
perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
OTHER:
*Must have good organizational skills.
*Must have a valid driver's license and a good driving record.
*Must keep and maintain a warehouse and an accurate inventory.
*Must be familiar with and able to perform tasks such as painting, minor repairs, etc.
*Must be neat and clean in appearance at all times.
*Must be able to follow instructions.
*Must be able to organize and accurately assemble deliveries.
*Must have a current Food Handler's permit.
*Must have a good work ethic and attendance.
*Must be able to get along, work well with others, and be a team player.
LANGUAGE SKILLS:
Ability to speak clearly in a well-modulated voice with good diction. Ability to read, write, and interpret the
English language in a variety of forms. Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in
writing.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide into all units of measure using whole numbers, common
fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
REASONING ABILITY:
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out written and oral instructions. Ability to define
problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret technical
instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with abstract and concrete variables.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
The physical demands described here represent those that an employee must meet to

job, the employee is required to talk and hear. The employee will be lifting, bending, and crawling under
desks and counters and must lift a minimum of thirty (50) pounds. The employee will be standing and
climbing stairs.
