Distribution Driver

n excellent opportunity for, a Distribution Driver, rebuilding Major Airbase Runways on Tinian Island in the Commonwealth of Northern Mariana Islands, USA, Pacific Ocean. The Distribution Driver operates an asphalt distributor by applying specialized emulsions to Airbase Runways, which are then covered by a Spreader. The Driver is responsible for setting the pace for the paving operation. Not an entry-level job. Requires demonstrable previous experience as an Asphalt Distribution Truck Driver.
Duties

• Drive and operate asphalt distributor truck equipped with tank to spray asphalt emulsions on road surfaces.
• Connect hose from storage tank to truck tank and moves lever to fill pressure tank with asphalt liquid.
• Regulate burner to heat liquid and start auxiliary pump.
• Snap or screw on spray bars to attain required width of spray.
• Turn valve to regulate flow of material at specified rate and adjust levers to adjust height of spray bar from road surface.
• Monitor flow gages, tachometer and temperature gauge to insure uniform distribution
• Perform daily safety checks of fluid levels on oil, water, fuel and inspections for leaks and damage to machine before operation.
• Must be able to shoot tack, prime, and seal on a daily basis, as needed.
• Responsible for the efficient working condition of the equipment; and is expected to perform minor servicing and maintenance or refer major problems to the supervisor.

• Class A or B CDL with Tanker endorsement required.
• high school diploma or general education degree (GED) is preferred.
• Experience operating an asphalt distribution truck is preferred.
• Paving experience is preferred.
• Experience with airport runways, roads, highways, and/or bridges is preferred.

• Will spray various asphalt emulsions on airbase runway, and road surfaces.

• Must be willing to work any shift, day or night. Mostly day shifts are currently planned.
• Work shifts will vary according to project requirements.
• Must be willing to work more overtime, more than 60 hours per week.
• Must be flexible with work shift hours.
• Work weeks will be 60 hours per, six 10-hour days per week minimum.
• Overtime, any work hours after 40 per week, is paid at time-and-a-half.
