1st Shift - Production / Forklift Driver

General Production Worker / Forklift DriverShift:Monday to Friday, from 7am to 3:30pmResponsibilitiesMonitor containers filling up with material and swap full containers with empty ones.Record finished good weights in computer databases and on paper, label finished products, and transfer material to the warehouse using a forklift.Operate a forklift for approximately 10% of the day.Shovel, sweep, and clean material on the floor, organize the production area, and stock empty containers.Perform physical labor, including lifting up to 50 lbs consistently and climbing up/down stairs throughout the shift.Assist with prepping packaged material for orders, including shrink wrapping packages, banding drums, and filling 50lb pails.Conduct some outdoor work, including filling garbage containers and scrap metal containers.Essential SkillsAbility to lift 50 pounds consistently and handle bags of crushed rock.Ability to climb up/down stairs throughout the shift.Experience with sit-down propane forklifts, with 3 months+ experience.Experience working in rougher environments such as steel, construction, or outdoor settings.Tolerance of a dusty workplace, with respirators available for use.Steel-toed boots are required.About Aerotek:We know that finding work is hard, and finding meaningful work is harder.
