The Role at a Glance

We are excited to bring on a Director of Strategic Billing Solutions & Delivery to join our group protections operations supporting Workplace Solutions in a remote environment.

Background Details

As the Director of Strategic Billing Solutions & Delivery, you will provide leadership, execute on strategic priorities and leverage process, technical and strategic partner solutions to ensure the Group Protection Operations Premium & Billing team is delivering expected results in support of profitable growth strategies for the organization. You will build, support and lead in an environment that embraces change, proactively supports the group customer and broker experience, and focuses on workforce engagement and talent development.

What you'll be doing

1. Lead a vital team in a constantly changing environment by empowering them to proactively challenge their daily tasks.
2. Provide training and development opportunities, including stretch assignments, for team members and give honest feedback to aid in their development.
3. Direct and evaluate individual/team performance and take appropriate action to meet and/or exceed performance standards.
4. Work with corporate vendor management and strategic suppliers to identify efficiency opportunities and develop execution plans.
5. Represent the department in transformational strategic programs ensuring effective execution of program delivery and ongoing business needs.
6. Collaborate with cross-functional leaders & stakeholders to evolve business models, processes, and/or technologies to achieve business goals.
7. Identify complex billing and/or premium trends, issues, and develop effective solutions.
8. Direct relationships with internal/external auditors and ensure collaborative resolution of complex issues.
9. Develop, manage, and oversee the budget for your team.
10. Meet or exceed all key target areas within Premium & Billing.

What we’re looking for

Must-have experience (Required):

• 4 Year/Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience (4 years of experience in lieu of Bachelor's).
• 7+ Years of experience in claims and/or customer service directly related to the specific responsibilities of this role, with 3+ years of managerial, supervisory, and/or demonstrated leadership experience.
• Ability to read, analyze and interpret internal and external documents such as contracts, technical procedures, governmental regulations, policies, proposals, etc.

Nice-to-have experience (Preferred):

• Strategic Program Management/ Project Management experience.
• Vendor Management and/or Strategic Sourcing experience.
• Broker and Customer service delivery experience.
