Travel Nurse RN - Labor/Delivery in Freeport, IL

Weekly Pay Range - $2321 To $2578 Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) - Labor and Delivery Job Specialty: LDRP RN 1.6460 Type: L&D (Labor and Delivery) Job Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 12H Nights, 7 PM - 7 AM, with weekend rotation 1x per month Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week Experience: Minimum 2 years License: Required for submission Certifications: BLS, NRP, AWHONN Intermediate or Advanced Must-Have: Experience in Labor and Delivery and LDRP settings Job Description: - Work in a unit with 7 Labor and Delivery beds, 1 OR Suite for C-Sections, 2 Triage beds, and 7 Postpartum beds. - Handle common diagnoses such as Labor, Preeclampsia, Hypertension, Obesity, Gestational Diabetes, and Preterm labor (greater than 32 weeks gestation or 1500 grams). - Stabilize newborns and provide couplet care post-recovery. - Manage clean gynecological cases such as hysterectomies (vaginal/abdominal). - Titrate drips, including Pitocin and Insulin. - Participate in a self-staffed scheduling system with requirements for covering leave of absence and vacations. - Weekend work required every other to every third weekend, with an alternating holiday schedule. - On-call or standby requirement includes 1-2 shifts per 6-week period, with 30-minute callback time. - Potential floating to Medical-Surgical units in critical need situations for non-patient assignment roles. - Utilize the OBIX EFM System for monitoring. - Hospital-provided scrubs are required, along with waterproof, non-slip shoes. - Attend department-specific orientation for up to 3 shifts.
