Travel Nurse RN - Labor/Delivery in Arlington, VA

**Job Description:**
- Work in a high-risk labor and delivery facility with 16 labor rooms, 6 triage rooms, 6 antepartum rooms, and 3 operating rooms.
- Facility includes a Level 3 NICU and handles all OB patients greater than 20 weeks.
- It is a teaching facility with resident coverage and handles cases such as Preeclampsia, GDM, PPROM, multiples, fetal anomalies, and cardiac defects.
- Daytime scheduled C-sections and most add-on cases are managed by an OR team, with 24/7 in-house anesthesia available.
- External cephalic versions are performed during the day.
- Average daily census of approximately 15 patients with a 1:2 nurse-to-patient ratio.
- No on-call requirement; every other weekend shifts are necessary.
- Self-scheduling is practiced.
- Medication management system used is Omnicell.
- Documentation systems include EPIC and OBTV.
- Communication uses the SBAR method.
- First-time travelers are accepted.
- Scrubs are provided.
- Completion of a mandatory EPIC class: Stork/OB.
- Flu vaccine required during flu season; medical/religious exemptions require compliance with guidelines.
- COVID-19 vaccine required; only medical/religious exemptions are considered.
- Smoke/nicotine-free facility.
- Successful completion of modules is required during orientation. Orientation includes non-billable training.
