Job Title: RN - Labor & Delivery Job Specialty: Registered / Licensed - Inpatient Job Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Days 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM Every other weekend 2 major, 2 minor holidays Guaranteed Hours: N/A Experience: Less than 1 year of direct patient care experience preferred License: Registered Nurse (Single State) or RN Multi-state Compact Certifications: - Basic Life Support (BLS) - Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) - Neonatal Resuscitation Provider (NRP) - AWHONN Must-Have: - Ability to read, write, and speak English - Strong interpersonal and collaborative skills - Excellent customer service skills - Ability to function in a fast-paced environment - Strong time management and critical thinking skills Job Description: - Perform the Nursing Process (assessment, diagnosis, identification of outcomes, planning, implementation, evaluation) using evidence-based practice. - Provide relationship-based, patient-centered care considering population-specific characteristics and cultural diversity. - Collaborate effectively with patients, families, and interdisciplinary team members. - Coordinate safe, quality patient care and documentation, promoting a respectful clinical environment. - Participate in performance improvement and support shared governance. - Mentor and precept other nursing professionals and students. - Promote evidence-based practice and research, posing relevant clinical questions and consulting appropriate resources. - Plan proactively for patient care across the care continuum. - Develop and support protocols and procedures to achieve best practice outcomes, such as reducing re-admission rates. - Use human and material resources efficiently and effectively.
