Delivery Driver

Description
Purpose
The Delivery Driver is responsible for creating a world class customer experience for every customer. The Driver will distribute products promptly to our customers. They will represent our company in a professional and cost-effective manner to increase our profitability and customer satisfaction.
Core Responsibilities

• Transport product between the Deland facility and various locations throughout the state.
• Follow routes and time schedule.
• Maintain professional communication with customers to relay times of arrival and status updates.
• Load, unload, prepare, inspect and operate a delivery vehicle.
• Ask for feedback on provided services and resolve clients' complaints.
• Complete logs and reports.
• Follow DOT regulations and safety standards.
• Provide timely and safe deliveries to patients throughout the state of Florida.
• Responsible for loading delivery orders into the vehicle at the start of the day and efficiently delivering each order along the route.
• Ability to play close attention to detail while reviewing manifests, orders, medical information, and other paperwork.
• Responsible for all the products put into the vehicle at the start of each shift.
• Understanding of Cannabis and the products we sell in order to answer patient questions during the delivery process.
• Delivery will involve bringing the products to the patient's front door, checking the patient ID to confirm the recipient is correct, and processing payment.
• Ability to operate our POS software to conduct patient transactions.
• Ability to communicate effectively with the delivery team by providing updates and updating delivery software.
• Maintain compliance throughout the delivery process by adhering to strict state medical cannabis regulations.
• Must provide excellent customer service to our patients throughout the entire delivery process.
• Provide first class delivery service that drives new business and contributes to online profitability.
• Ensure inventory stock matches delivery requirements.
• Follow set, scheduled route for daily deliveries.
• Practice safe driving and cash handling.
• Drive repeat business through strong local grass roots networking, customer data capture and our loyalty program.
• Execute high customer experience standards, to industry leading customer engagement through strong sales techniques and product knowledge.

Qualifications
Required:

• Passion for and knowledgeable about Cannabis.
• Passion for cannabis culture.
• Proven working experience as a Driver, with at least 5 years' experience in commercial delivery.
• Must have a valid driver's license along with a good driving record (no violations) record
• CDL license strongly preferred.
• Open availability as this position often requires last-minute long-distance trips throughout Florida.
• Prior experience operating commercial box trucks and refrigeration systems.
• Ability to drive in a variety of weather and traffic conditions.
• Possess the ability to professionally and respectfully engage with personnel, visitors, government agencies and the general public.
• Excellent organizational skills and ability to meet deadlines.
• Must have excellent problem solving skills.
• Consistently delivers high-quality outputs with strong attention to detail.
• Works effectively under tight deadlines, respond to changing priorities and coordinate multiple assignments and meet deadlines.
• Refined proficiency in creative writing, public speaking, and interpersonal business communication.

Work Environment
This employee will also be required to operate a motor vehicle with a valid FL Drivers License.
Physical Demands
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. This employee is frequently required to stand, walk, use hands or feet, reach with hands and arms and may be required to lift a minimum of 50 pounds.
Position Type and Expected Hours of Work
This position regularly requires long hours and frequent weekend work.
