Responsibilities:

Technica Corporation is looking for a Senior Agile Release Train Engineer to support our government customer in Huntsville, AL. This position will be responsible for:

  • Managing and optimizing the flow of value through the ART and Solution Train using various tools, such as the Program and Solution Kanban and other information radiators.
  • Facilitating Program Increment (PI) planning readiness by fostering the preparation of vision and backlogs, and through pre- and post-PI Planning meetings.
  • Facilitating the PI planning event. Assisting with tracking the execution of features and capabilities.
  • Assisting with economic decision-making by facilitating feature and capability estimation by teams and the roll-up to Epics, where necessary.
  • Coaching leaders, teams, and Scrum Masters in Lean-Agile practices and mindsets.
  • Helping manage risks and dependencies.
  • Escalating and tracking impediments.
  • Improving the flow of value through value streams using the Continuous Delivery Pipeline and DevOps.
  • Facilitating system demos and solution demos.
  • Driving relentless improvement via Inspect and Adapt workshops; assessing the agility level of the ART and Solution Train and helping them improve.

Position is a on-site opportunity at Partiots Plaza II in Washington, D.C. The government has established policies for on-site vs hybrid work which varies across divisions and contracts. Staff are obligated to adhere to these and other FBI policies and react accordingly as policies change over time. Where allowed, remote work must be coordinated with the team lead and/or government POC, ensuring there is zero interruption with the delivery of our services.

Requirements:
  • Must have Active Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility
  • Bachelors degree in a technical or engineering discipline, and/or the equivalent education and experience
  • 8 years of related experience, or a combination of experience and certifications that demonstrates ability to perform at this level
  • Demonstrated experience planning and leading major technology assignments.
  • Proven experience evaluating performance results and recommending major changes affecting short-term project growth and success
  • Functions as a technical expert across multiple project assignments
  • Experience coaching and mentoring teams in understanding Agile principles and practices
  • Demonstrated ability to influence leadership on decision making and product releases
  • Knowledge of Lean-Agile frameworks, Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe), Agile budgeting, and Agile metrics
  • Demonstrated critical thinking and analysis skills in developing solutions
Desired:
  • SAFe RTE Certification
  • Knowledge of the product development cycle
  • Experience in DevSecOps
  • Strong written, oral and interpersonal communication skills
