Overhead Crane Operator

Our Client is one of the largest metals distribution companies in North America, with a growing focus on value-added processing. It carries on business in three segments: metals service centers, energy field stores and steel distributors.
We are currently seeking an experienced Overhead Crane Operator to join our growing team on 2nd Shift. This individual operates the crane to lift, move, and position loads.
Roles and Responsibilities:

• Safety: Following safety rules and regulations, and performing safety inspections
• Equipment Operation: Operating overhead cranes, and ensuring the hook, bridge, and trolley move in the correct direction
• Load handling: Attaching loads to the hook, and ensuring the load is within the lifting limits; Able to perform some heavy lifting
• Maintenance: Performing daily preventative maintenance
• Communication: Working with supervisors and other staff to ensure smooth operations
• Collaboration: Working with plant personnel to achieve tasks and ensure quality customer service

Skills Required:

• HS Diploma or equivalent.
• Good knowledge of math and measurements.
• Good communication skills
• Self motivated, results oriented.

Benefits:
Pay: Based on Experience ($17+)
Shift: 4:30PM-End (approx. 45hours/week)
