Recap/Job Description:
Full time, direct hire 1099 employee
Hauling general freight for deliveries and water for backhauls
99% No touch. Drivers may occasionally be asked to assist with unload but Gentian will confirm with the driver before accepting the load
Tractors are 2016 Volvo sleepers with manual transmission. Drivers will be assigned a tractor and trailer.
Drivers will be operate Motive ELDs
Requirements:
CDL A license
6 months of verifiable experience
No more than 3 moving violations in 3 years. No at fault accidents
No criminal background or DUI's
Drivers must wear steel toe boots
Areas Covered
Covering NJ, NY (4 boroughs-no Manhattan) & New England
Typically 1 pickup & 1 drop per day
Hours
Monday-Saturday, Saturday is ½ day
Dispatch are typically early mornings
10-12 hours per day
Pay rate
Drivers are paid 30% of the load
$1,800-$2,100 per week for dry van loads and $1,900-$2,200 for reefer loads
