Forklift Operator 1st Shift

The Utility Person is responsible for the manual configuring of materials on pallets such as coils, boxes of siding (steel, aluminum, vinyl), and accessories based on the shipping order. The Utility Person will operate a power industrial truck, such as a forklift, side loader, reach truck, manual pallet jack etc...to push, pull, lift, stack, tier, or move products, equipment or materials onto a trailer. Will load 53 foot trailers with coil, 12 foot pallets of siding and 3/4 pallets of trim coil.
Essential Job Functions:

• Records factors causing product to be returned or no-shipped
• Enter orders into shipping system timely and accurately
• Can fill in the lead person role or receiving
• Load trailer with manufactured product
• Report all non-conforming products
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements:
2 years of experience in manufacturing facility preferably in a warehouse capacity
Experience fork lift operator; Side Loader exp is a plus
Excellent communication skills for this hands-on role
Must be fluent read/writing/speak English
Pick/Pack and checking experience a plus
Minimum of a High School Diploma

To perform this job successfully, the Utility Person is regularly required to use hands and fingers to feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms and talk or hear. The employee must be able to regularly lift and move up to 50lbs. Specific vision abilities include close/distance, color vision, peripheral vision and depth perception.
Work Environment
A Utility Person will be exposed to moving mechanical parts and moderate noise levels. The employee is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles and extreme weather conditions. Required PPE must be worn at all times.
