**Job Title:** Registered Nurse
**Job Specialty:** Labor and Delivery
**Job Duration:** 13 weeks
**Shift:** Day 3x12-Hour (07:00 - 19:30)
**Guaranteed Hours:**
**Experience:** A minimum of 5 years in a high acuity & high pace environment. At least 3 years of Labor and Delivery experience required. First-time travelers are not accepted.
**License:** Please provide the status of your Washington license: Active, In Process, or No License. If "In Process," include the applied date and estimated issue date.
**Certifications:** EPIC electronic fetal monitoring experience; AWHONN guidelines familiarity
**Must-Have:** Ability to circulate and provide newborn care, including eyes and Vitamin K injections, thighs, and newborn assessments.
**Job Description:**
- Work in a high-risk, high-volume Labor and Delivery environment with experience in all types of cases.
- Function as the Baby Nurse during deliveries, continuing care of the newborn until transfer to postpartum.
- Perform tasks such as circulating, Heparin, Insulin, Magnesium Sulfate administration, and newborn care.
- Floating required to postpartum/antepartum units and possibly to related facilities.
- Support services related to midwifery clients, private OBs, adult recovery services for substance recovery, and community care clinics.
- Staffing aligns with AWHONN guidelines, focusing on high acuity, high pace environments.
- Must be flexible with working every other weekend and holidays, with pre-approved time off on a case-by-case basis.
- Provide a minimum of two supervisory references covering one year of employment within the last three years within a comparable specialty/setting.
