Hersheypark amusement park spans 121-acres, and welcomes guests to experience Hersheypark Happy all year long! As the largest amusement park in Pennsylvania, Hersheypark is home to more than 70 rides including 15 coasters and 20+ kiddie rides, as well as a zoo, and an entire water park. Tram Operators are responsible for driving guests of Hersheypark in a large utility vehicle to and from tram stops located in the parking lot. This position is also responsible for the safety of all guests who are passengers on the tram, as well as all pedestrians in their driving zone.   • Safely operate the tram transporting guests to their destination
  • Assist guests at tram stops with loading and unloading, including wheelchairs and strollers
  • Effectively communicate provided information to the guests on the tram via a public address system
  • Control traffic as needed in tram areas
  • Provide a safe and friendly atmosphere to guests and team members
  • Consistently practice safe work habits including, but not limited to, use of personal protective equipment, lifting, and reporting of unsafe situations
Basic Qualifications:
  • Must be at least 18 years of age on the date of applying
  • Must possess a valid driver's license
  • Required to complete pre-employment drug testing
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Must be comfortable operating a large vehicle to transport guests
  • Must have the ability to effectively communicate verbally, including delivering safety instructions/directions, verbal cues, and speaking clearly into microphones and radios
  • Must be friendly, upbeat, and work well with other team members and be able to interact with guests
  • Must be able to work with large crowds in a fast-paced environment
  • Must be detail-oriented and have clear verbal and written communication skills
  • Must be able to successfully complete all legal, company, and department training requirements to include, but not limited to, passing required tests and certifications within established timelines and ensuring all certifications remain up-to-date and active
  • Must display a positive attitude, an eagerness to learn, and a professional image in compliance with Hershey Entertainment & Resorts guidelines
Job Demands:
  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays - Team members must work a minimum of eight (8) hours every two pay periods in order to stay an active employee
  • Employees are subject to a variety of weather conditions, including but not limited to extreme heat, sun exposure, cold, and inclement weather. Work is almost exclusively outdoors.
  • Physical requirements would include the ability to stand and walk unassisted (for up to eight hours at a time), bend at the waist and knees and have repeated manual dexterity, the ability to raise the leg 37 inches, the ability to push, pull, and reach above shoulder level, and lifting up to fifty (50) pounds without assistance
