Salary: $26.01-$30.39/hour DOE

Position Overview : This Shuttle Driver drives gasoline, natural gas, or diesel-powered tractor trailer combination to safely transport and deliver products in loose or packaged form.
Language Skills: English proficiency required. Spanish is a plus.
Supervisory Responsibilities: None.
Amount of Travel Involved : 10%
Essential Duties and Responsibilities :
  • Follow all safety procedures and work as safe as possible at all times.
  • Safely drives truck to destination.
  • Inspects truck for defects before and after trips and submits report indicating truck condition per Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations.
  • Maintains driver log according to DOT regulations.
  • Drops and hooks trailers.
  • Assists workers in loading and unloading trucks.
  • Must comply with all regulatory requirements per the Department of Transportation (DOT) and comply with all pre-employment physicals and on-going random Department of Transportation (DOT) drug screens.
  • General
    1. Maintain a positive work atmosphere and interaction with customers, co-workers, and management.
    2. Work scheduled shift, weekends, and extended hours as required.
    3. All other duties as assigned.
    4. Regular and punctual attendance.
  • To perform this job successfully, must be able to perform each fundamental task listed above satisfactorily.
Experience for Success:
  • Must be able to operate 3 axle tractor and trailer safely.
  • Ability to operate 10 speeds, 9 speed, and automatic transmission.
  • Ability to competently pull 53', 48' and 45' trailers.
  • Able to accurately complete all Federal and State mandated paperwork, logbooks, daily vehicle inspections, etc.
Education and/or Experience:
  • High school diploma or general education degree (G.E.D) and one year of truck driving experience or -or- an equivalent combination of experience and education.
  • Must possess current class "A" driver's license.
  • Possesses a current Hazmat Endorsement, preferred.
  • Clean DMV driving record.

While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is frequently exposed to moving motor vehicles. The employee is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles and outside weather conditions. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
