We are currently seeking a dynamic, business-savvy Chief Mission Delivery Officer (CMDO) to advance our mission by increasing opportunities for volunteers and girls to work together throughout our council. This senior executive position will support and implement the council's mission, strategic plan, annual operating plan, and budget for all aspects of operations including member services, volunteer engagement, product program, and program/camp that are integral to serving the needs of our girls and volunteers. The CMDO works strategically to cultivate the skills and talent of staff and volunteers and is responsible for supporting the onboarding and training of staff. The CMDO promotes Girl Scout visibility and strengthens the Girl Scout brand in our Alaskan communities. This position is based out of our Anchorage, Alaska Office and the pay range starts at $100,000 per year.


To be successful in this position:


You Are:

  • Passionate about the Girl Scout vision and mission.
  • Available to work a flexible schedule including some evenings and weekends during key periods (cookie season, camp season, etc.).
  • Able to travel to areas of the council and professional development conferences - small plane air travel may be involved.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Word, Excel, Outlook, and CRM database systems such as Salesforce.
  • Excellent at problem-solving, critical thinking, and decision-making with proven experience.
  • Exceptional project manager, able to coordinate efforts among departments, programs, and services.
  • Experienced in budgeting and fiscal management.
  • Able to maintain strict confidentiality with all sensitive information.
  • Optimistic and able to have fun and work smartly.

You Need:


  • Bachelor’s degree or higher or equivalent experience with eight years of directly related work experience, and at least six years of leadership experience. Advanced degree preferred.
  • Collaborative work ethic.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage in a multi-functional operational environment.
  • Proven record of managing others through strategic execution and goal achievement including at the C-Level.
  • Previous membership and volunteer engagement experience strongly desired.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills including public speaking.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently and to work in a fluid and dynamic environment.
  • Demonstrated strong inclusive leadership, collaborative, and interpersonal skills.
  • A valid operator license and access to reliable transportation.
  • Previous Girl Scout experience a plus.

You Will:


  • Contribute to the overall success of the organization and Girl Scout movement.
  • Work out of the Anchorage office.
  • Lift and carry at least 35 lbs.
  • Complete an annual background check.
  • Become a Girl Scout member.
