Job Description:
Experience in design, implementation and testing of carrier based technologies in support of data center network infrastructure:
o Carrier inside and outside plant fiber backbone infrastructure
Telco conduit and riser infrastructure
Carrier manhole right of way
Inside riser infrastructure
Inside plant fiber requirements
o Fiber designs to ensure no single points of failure exists within the fiber routes, central offices (local & long distance) and optical wavelength equipment
o Technical experience for installation, pretest and migration of production services

Create turnover documentation and update all Client's inventory systems with the new install information
Perform system level documentation on Client platforms and assist in project tracking and documentation.
Deinstallation and clean up all legacy telco devices and insure all systems in the environment have been removed
Must be willing to work in Client Green zone times which are weeknights and weekend 12:00am to 6:00am EST to support network changes
Technical Skills:
In depth knowledge of Telecomm Carrier Transport networks and technologies with the ability to review, select and implement the appropriate technology to meet business requirements.
Experience managing Carrier outside/inside plant infrastructure designs to ensure no single points of failure exists within the fiber routes, central offices (local & long distance) and electrical/optical equipment utilized to deliver services to meet business requirements.
Basic knowledge of Carrier based installation and acceptance testing
Support Carrier technical solution pretest and migration to production activities.
Knowledge and hands on experience working with carrier based optical (DWDM) and legacy SONET technologies.
10Gb and 100Gb wavelengths
Legacy OC192 and OC48 platforms
Telco and data center structured cabling (fiber optics) specs
Basic working knowledge of layer2 and 3 Cisco router and switch platforms
Review, identify and document Carrier Infrastructure at the Clifton and Rutherford locations and assist with decommissioning and migration of said infrastructure.
Complete turnover documentation and update all Client's systems with the new install information.
Clean up all legacy devices and ensure all systems in the environment have been properly decommissioned
Maintain system level documentation (inventories) on Client platforms and assist in project tracking
Knowledge of and hands on experience with Optical DWDM Wavelength (10Gb, 100Gb and 400Gb) and legacy SONET -- OC3, OC12 , OC48, OC192 technologies..
Knowledge of and hands on experience with legacy Private Line (DS1, DS3, GigE, MPLS, Ethernet Private Line (EPL) & Wireless 4G and 5G and Dedicated Internet Access (DIA) WAN Transport technologies.
Knowledge and familiarity of Cisco Routing & Switching Technologies.,
knowledge of routing protocols i.e. BGP, OSPF, EIGRP and RIP
Hardware:Cisco NCS5500, Nexus 9300, ISR 4000, ASR 1000
