Travel Nurse RN - Labor/Delivery in Edison, NJ

Weekly Pay Range - $2229 To $2476

**Job Title:** Registered Nurse (RN)

**Shift:** 6:30 PM - 7:00 AM, every other weekend required. Holidays as needed.
**Guaranteed Hours:** 36.00 hours per week
**Experience:** Minimum 2 years of recent Labor and Delivery experience required
**License:** Active Registered Nurse License
**Certifications:**
- BLS (American Heart Association)
- ACLS (American Heart Association)
- NRP
- C-EFM (Certification in Electronic Fetal Monitoring)
**Must-Have:**
- Experience circulating with C-sections
- Ability to perform in a Patient Care Technician role for tasks such as taking vitals and assisting nursing staff
**Job Description:**
- Evaluate patients and assist physicians with patient care
- Plan, implement, and document nursing care based on patients' needs
- Identify patient needs and determine priorities for care through assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation
- Develop, implement, and coordinate individualized care plans through initial and ongoing assessments
- Initiate assessment based on patient problems or needs, physician's medical diagnosis, and the functional health framework
- Perform therapeutic nursing interventions and manage patient care
- Document care in line with standards of practice, considering patient acuity and clinical priorities
- Advocate for evidence-based practice care standards and support the adoption of evidence-based practices and innovations in care delivery
- Provide patient-centric care in alignment with professional nursing practice models
- Assist with IV insertions, IV pumps, blood draws, and manage labor bed experience, warmers, PCA and Epidural pumps, SCD machines, Pulse OX, and O2 setup
- Handle a patient ratio of 1:2, with a maximum ratio of 1:3
- Support high volume birth settings, with 130-160 births and 40-60 C-sections per month
**Preferred Skills (Not Required):**
- Scrub experience in a Labor and Delivery setting
- Advanced education such as BSN
