As a Driver, you will operate a 1 ½ ton truck. The Driver is responsible for providing a welcome greeting for all donors. DMV and company guidelines must always be observed. Time management is crucial for arriving at the destination and returning on schedule. The Driver exhibits customer commitment and personal effectiveness and plays a key role in our mission.DriverGoodwill Industries of the Southern Rivers -Albany, GAPart-TimeThe Albany retail store, located at 2015 N Slappey Blvd, is currently looking for a hard-working and dedicated Driver.Goodwill Industries of the Southern Rivers, Inc.’s Driver responsibilities:Maintains vehicle logs and daily trip sheets according to all company procedures.Report any mechanical problems, delays, accidents, and other traffic and transportation situations to the leadership team.Loads and unloads trucks, vehicles, containers, and trailers by hand or using a hand truck, lift gate, and pallet jack during pick-up and drop-offs.Conducts daily preventative maintenance checks before, during, and after operations and adheres to all safety regulations.Cleans the inside and outside of the assigned vehicle daily, as needed.Reports concern to the leadership team immediately.Pads, stacks, and secures items in position on the truck to prevent damage during transit.Works other areas of the store as requested by the leadership team.You will be hired as a driver; however, you will be cross-trained and expected to learn and work in all areas of retail operations.A part-time position averages 20-25 hours per week. Hours will fluctuate based on business needs (i.e., seasonal changes, donation volumes, etc.) Operating days will fluctuate based on the store location. The Driver must be available to work any shifts Monday through Sunday.Requirements:High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED).
