Travel Nurse RN - Labor/Delivery in Omaha, NE

**Job Title:** Registered Nurse (RN) - Labor and Delivery

**Guaranteed Hours:** 36 hours per week
**Experience:** Minimum of 2 years
**License:** License to Submit Required
**Certifications:** BLS, NRP, Intro to Fetal Monitoring
**Must-Have:** Experience in circulating in ORs, competent in normal newborn assessments and routine baby care.
**Job Description:**
- Responsible for providing comprehensive maternal-child nursing care within the labor and delivery unit.
- Must be able to circulate in OR for cesarean sections.
- Conduct normal newborn assessments and provide routine baby care.
- Float to Postpartum on occasion, providing care for both mother and infant.
- Care for high-risk obstetric patients and routine deliveries.
- Required to titrate medications such as Pitocin, Magnesium Sulfate, and pain medications.
- Work in collaboration with a multidisciplinary team, including 3 residents and 1 supervising physician present 24/7.
- Utilize and troubleshoot nasal cannula respiratory equipment as needed.
- Monitor patients post-C-section using the provided telemetry system.
- Participate in self-scheduling, with weekend shifts required every third weekend (potentially more based on unit needs).
- Required to work 1 major and 1 minor holiday during the contract period.
- Float to other departments as needed, occasionally serving as a "sitter."
- Wear provided surgical scrubs while on duty.
- Attend 2-3 shifts of unit-specific orientation.
