Travel Nurse RN - Labor/Delivery in Twin Falls, ID

**Must-Have:**
- 2 years of Labor and Delivery experience
- Some postpartum experience
- Comfort working with high-risk patients
- Ability to work in both Labor & Delivery and Postpartum
- Experience circulating in C-sections
- Willingness to float between units based on staffing needs
- Epic experience preferred
**Job Description:**
- 11 Labor & Delivery rooms that double as triage rooms
- 2 C-Section Suites on the floor with PACU Recovery Bays
- Typically 2 designated triage rooms, handling 4-5 triage patients per day
- 17 Postpartum Beds
- Average 5-6 deliveries per day
- Follow AWHONN staffing guidelines for patient ratios
- Common diagnoses include stabilization and transfer of babies less than 30 weeks
- Comfort with high-risk patients and titrating drips like Pitocin, Mag, & Insulin
- Charge nurse generally does not take patient assignments
- Anesthesia and respiratory therapy available 24/7
- Utilize the EpicCare Inpatient charting system
- Self-scheduling is considered, and block scheduling is possible, with a maximum of 5 shifts in a row
- Weekend and holiday rotations may be required
- Floating to other units for sitter shifts may be needed
- Scrub color for RNs is navy blue; maroon for CNAs
- 3 days of orientation with a preceptor in Labor & Delivery and Postpartum units
- Supportive provider and staff relationships
- Level 3 NICU for infants over 30 weeks
